For some reason this reminds me of the myth of Charles H. Duell, U.S. Commissioner of Patents, in 1899, who is alleged to have said "everything that can be invented has been invented"
when he advocated closing the patent office.
I disagree that the anti-trolls have won. I put the case that the trolls have won, since the aim in the first place was "education through misinformation".
Having said that, there have not been too many brilliant trolls on teh slashduh lately.
I confess I used to enjoy reading the good trolls from the good old days of trolltalk, 10gramspoppylatex and k22320inchfan somehow the goings on at sid=20721 seem like a poor facsimile.
What do others think ? Is trolling dead ?
