  • School Uniforms? No, just NO WORDS or SYMBOLS at all! That'll learn 'em.
Also, I think a series paying tribute to all members of Sleater-Kinney individually, Corin, Janet and Carrie, and as a, group is in order. Something dignified, but still cravenly worshipful at the same time.

One of the things I really needed to do today was name three of the other members of Bottom's acting troupe, and I could only come up with Snug and Quince. But my three-page summary of the high plot of 1 Henry IV hit everything, I think, including why the king wanted a crusade and why Hotspur couldn't be told about the amnesty offer before the battle of Shrewsbury (or Southampton, or wherever in England they fought it).

And I got to work in little gems like Puck's nickname Robin Goodfellow is also a name for the devil, and my offbeat aesthetic judgement that Pryamus and Thisbe is perversely appropriate for a festive triple wedding, because the inseparabilitiy of love, marriage, death and tragedy, especiall for Shakespeare.

You know, the Sleater-Kinney story idea would be perfect. Hell, if I wasn't so swamped, I'd do it right now...

In the dark times, will there still be singing?
